At Northwest, music is an integral part of how we worship. Our services are filled with music: piano, communal singing, recorded music of significance, special performances by individual congregants, and the occasional drum circle. Our music program is facilitated by the brilliant and talented Ken Hermonat, who leads the Northwest UU Choir, as well as coordinating the various other musical elements of our services and congregational life. Our pianist is the amazing Alex Meyers, who plays us a prelude and postlude tailored for each week's service, in addition to accompanying the choir.
As the pandemic continues, we are directed by the National UUA Guidelines on singing together. This means that for the time being, the choir will remain virtual. However, the choir is always eagerly welcoming new members, and now is a better time than ever to join us in creating music together. To get started, email Ken at [email protected].
