Searching for the perfect space to exchange your vows? Our beautiful contemporary sanctuary is a welcoming space for weddings and commitment ceremonies. We offer a variety of room sizes from a small group meeting to a dinner/dance. We also rent our space for memorials and funerals. Our sanctuary seats 200, our multi-purpose room accommodates 100, and we have several smaller classrooms available. Our facilities are wheelchair accessible and have on-site parking. Our church welcomes renters of all faiths. Whether you need a space for a one-time event, or weekly or monthly meetings, we can accommodate you.
Northwest UU church is centrally located in the Detroit Metro area and easily accessible by I-696, M-10 (Lodge Freeway) and M-39 (Southfield Freeway).

Members Rental Use of the Church Policy (updated on 11/11/2021)
Last year, the Rental committee, in coordination with the Finance Committee, started a project to update our church’s policy for members rental use of the church. Recently, we were able to bring this project to completion and the updated Policy for Members Rental Use of the Church was approved by the Board of Governors on November 11, 2021.
Some of the updates put parameters on what events merit a member’s privileged rent-free use of the building. These are spelled out in the updated policy. Furthermore, members will receive a 50% discount on the current rental rate for events which do not qualify for rent-free use. Allowances were also made, and requirements established, for serving beer and wine at member events.
In all, there are ten policy statements which comprise the update. Please take a moment to read and familiarize yourself with the attached policy.
