Book Club
3rd Wednesdays @ 7:00 pm December 16 The book for December is Migrations by Charlotte McConaghy, a novel set on the brink of catastrophe, as a young woman chases the world’s last birds—and her own final chance for redemption. Franny Stone has always been a wanderer. By following the ocean’s tides and the birds that soar above, she can forget the losses that have haunted her life. To further our ability to be with the dying, we learn from comfort companions who have experienced and written about the dying process. We bring our experiences of being with the dying to the group. We gradually become less fearful of our own death, as well as the dying of those we comfort.
