This Week's Service

Sunday, January 11 at 10:30AM
Joint @ Northwest

"Christian Zionism"
Rev. Tommy Airey

Zionism is a nationalist movement that began in the late 19th century and advocates for the establishment and support of a Jewish homeland in the land of Israel.  This movement is often thought to be rooted Jewish desire and led by Jewish people.  Unfortunately, the most pernicious parts of Zionism are supported by Right wing Christians.  Doesn't make sense? Want to know why? Come to church!

For those who have attended this service before; we will be hosting a Workshop led by Dr. Elliot Ratzman: "Antisemitism as a Roadblock to Peace and Justice: A View from the Left."

Dr. Ratzman is a graduate of Harvard Divinity School and Princeton University, is a Research Fellow at University of Michigan's Raoul Wallenberg Institute where he is working on a book on Jewish anti-racism, and researching the history of American Jewish pacifism. He is also part of the leadership team for the Fellowship of Reconciliation USA, a century-old interfaith anti-war and civil rights organization.
