Adult Religious Education beginning in January:

Pocket Sundays: The second Sunday each month at 12:15 we will gather for a discussion of the Unitarian Universalist Pocket Guide facilitated by Rev. Kimi Riegel. We will take a chapter a month. The topics include our faith, our history, our religious education and more. March 12 we will discuss our Unitarian Universalist worship. Books will be available on Sundays. Let Kimi know if you need childcare.

On-going Deeper Enneagram: Beginning Tuesday Jan 10 we will take a deeper look into the Enneagram. For those who have studied it in the past this class will meet on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday nights of each month. Having a basic knowledge of the structure of the Enneagram we will look more closely at how it influences our relationships and our lives. Please join us from 7-9 on the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays.

Fundamentalism and UU: Beginning Feb 7 for the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays we will discuss fundamentalism and its world view. We will use a number of texts. Save the dates Feb. 7, 21 and March 7, 21.

"Our Whole Lives" (OWL) Sexuality Education for Adults: Using values, communication skills, and spirituality as starting points, this program explores sexuality issues of interest to adults of all ages. OWL builds a better understanding of healthy sexual relationships, affirms diversity, and helps participants accept and affirm their own sexuality throughout the life cycle. It invites adults to strengthen connections between their sexuality and spirituality, their values and their behavior, and themselves and their religious community. Topics include: sexual identity, sexual diversity, sexuality and aging, relationships and commitment, sexuality and society, and many others. Participants will themselves choose between six sessions from this fourteen week curriculum. Unitarian Universalists have long been the leaders in honest open sexuality education. We understand the importance of understanding our own sexual identity and learning to express it in healthy ways.  Facilitated by the Revs. Alex and Kimi Riegel, certified OWL educators.

Class is limited to 20, so preregistration is required. To register call the church office: 248-354-4488. Classes will be held Tuesdays from 7 - 9PM. The first three classes (April 18, 25, and May 2) will be held at the Farmington Hills Universalist Unitarian Church. The final three classes will be held at Northwest Unitarian Universalist Church (May 9, 16, and 23).
