Ways to Connect at Northwest UU Church

two hands claspingThroughout the year we have a variety of educational programs, social justice events, fundraisers and events for families, children and adults. Subscribe to our newsletter (link) to find out about specific upcoming events. Here are some of the ongoing activities that will give you a chance to get to know others at Northwest:

Book Group -- Once a month this group meets in the home of a member to discuss a specific book.

Caregivers Group - Every Tuesday at 9 a.m. This group offers an opportunity to meet for mutual support and socializing.

Coffee Hour - Help prepare, serve and/or clean up during coffee hour with one to three others. A speaker in the kitchen allows you to listen to the service.

Depression Support Group - Many people suffer from depression. For some it is life threatening and debilitating. For others it is season or situational. Many more people are reporting symptoms in this unsettling economy and with this troubled world. If you are seeing a therapist and/or psychiatrist this is not a substitute for their care. We meet each Tuesday evening at 7:30. Join us.

Grief Group -- Every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. If you have lost a spouse or partner, you are welcome to this group. If the loss was long ago, you are welcome. If it was a recent loss, you are welcome. If you can only come once in a while, you are welcome.

Evensong - Every other Tuesday at 7 p.m. our Evensong group meets to listen to each other's thoughts on a specific topic.

Music & Poetry Circle - 2nd Friday of the month, 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the multipurpose room.

Northwest Singers - New members are always welcome to join our choir. Rehearsals are Saturday at 10 a.m. and Sundays at 9 a.m.

Second Saturday Outdoor Maintenance - Once a month during the growing season, participants arrive at church at 10 a.m. to help with yard work and gardening.
