About Us

Northwest UU Church is a congregation with a proud history of 65 years of service to the Unitarian Universalist community and to Southfield, Michigan, and the greater Detroit area. We currently have about 150 members, coming from Southfield, Oak Park, Royal Oak, Ferndale, Berkley, Huntington Woods, Detroit, Livonia, Dearborn, Farmington, and other Southeast Michigan communities.

Seven Principles of Unitarian Universalism

We, the member congregations of the Unitarian Universalist Association, covenant to affirm and promote:

  • Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations

Our History

2017 marks Northwest Unitarian Universalist Church’s 65th anniversary serving the Unitarian Universalist community of Southfield and southeast Michigan.
